At Techdrill, software is Made by Drilling Engineers for Drilling Engineers. The architects of product functionality are drilling engineers; programmers write code to transform specifications into software. Applying this approach since 1992 has kept Techdrill software as one of the most drilling minded and user friendly in the market.

Building up the Techdrill software platform

It all started with DSP-ONE in 1992. Covering all key requirements of detailed drilling engineering, DSP-ONE was built and shaped as a family of integrated modules, whose lineage has been substantially augmented over the years. Its first version released under DOS [MS Windows version introduced in 1996] was already offering data-sharing between all of its modules.

The roots set with DSP-ONE have grown into a comprehensive platform - web-enabled & Citrix compliant - currently composed of:

  • DSP-ONE for detailed well engineering.
  • RADAR for directional drilling.
  • OCTOPUS for rig positioning and field development planning.
  • DDR-ONE for daily drilling report and data management.
  • AFE-ONE for well cost budgeting.
  • DRILLSPACE, the 3D graphic server.

Maintaining at all times products up-to-date with the Drilling and IT industries continuous innovations, we also endeavor to introduce new ways of looking at drilling issues. Technical teams constantly focus on the future of our Software portfolio: broadening drilling functionality and modules, increasing application user friendliness, proposing smart interactive graphics, in order to deliver sophisticated and innovative product upgrades every year.

Data-Sharing with third party applications

Participating in the cross-company/cross-activity workflow required for the better informed decision-making process, Techdrill software can be connected to other vendors’ applications in any segment of the Exploration & Production field or to ERP corporate systems. Today’s widely used XML, WITSML, web-based solutions or middleware platforms clearly facilitate this objective.
